The strategies in this post are helping me to see more audiences reading my posts like you are probably doing right now. Let’s dive right in!!

I want to share that I almost did not do all this. To me, web development and SEO were subjects made only for tech-savvy people. It gave me headaches just to think about building a post or to start with a home page but then, something made me realize that this is actually something we unconsciously do every day. I want to share the secret and what motivated me to learn more about SEO optimization and build the foundations for our outsourcing business, POLLUX BPO.

Before jumping into that, I want to show you Rankly, our new SEO strategy for 2021, I have outlined valuable information in an easy-to-read view and I will upload a video for those who like visuals better like myself. With any further to say, let’s start with the list.

1. LINK ROUNDUPS

A link round-up is basically a blog post that features links to other people’s blog posts. Usually, you’ll find them on a weekly or monthly basis, and they are themed around a topic related to the blog that’s hosting it. You can find them in virtually any niche, too. There are pages dedicated to that.

Here is a formula for you to type in the google bar and start looking for the topic you want to blog about

  • “keyword” + “link roundup”
  • “keyword” + roundup
  • “keyword” + “best of”
  • “keyword” + this week

Here is an email script to pitch your content

Hi (site owner),

I just stumbled on your [Roundup Name] this afternoon. Good stuff!

I’m just reaching out because I recently published a [Content Description] that might be a good fit: [Your URL]

Either way, keep up the awesome work!

Cheers

2. BROKEN LINK BUILDING

Broken link building involves reaching out to webmasters with a resource that you’ve created to replace the broken link. … Broken link building involves finding broken links and reaching out to webmasters with a resource that you’ve created to replace the link. (You can use the broken link checker tool or Check my links add on to Chrome)

here are the steps:

  1. find a site you want to get a link from
  2. look for broken links
  3. let the site owner know about the broken link and offer your content as a replacement

This is an example of an email that can be sent to a webmaster to replace their broken links with your content.

Hi,

I was searching for some information on SEO when I came across your AWESOME SEO checklist.

Great Stuff!

I especially liked that you recommended starting keyword research off with buyer personas. So many people start with a keyword research tool before they even know what their customers search for.

However, I did come across a few links that didn’t seem to be working. Want me to forward you the shortlist I jotted down?

Cheers,

[Your Name ]

We received a response, this is what we replied:

As I said the post is awesome as-is. I wouldn’t change much of anything except maybe update the screenshots and a link that wasn’t working for me. [link]

And it would be awesome if you’d consider mentioning my SEO tools guide in your post. [My article link or the link I want them to share]

(it might make a nice addition to the “Must-Read SEO Guides and Resources” section of your post)

In this example, this is what the owner of the website we were pitching out links responded.

3. BUILD LINKS FROM PODCASTS

The strategy comes from the fact the websites get a log of traffic from blogs. You have to be a guest of as many blogs as you can, and you will see how the website traffic increases.
How? Google or try to find Podcasts related to what you do and email them or text them, try to get in touch with them, pitch them your idea, and ask them you want to be a guest of their podcasts
This strategy can also result and good quality backlinks

4. CREATE BRANDED STRATEGIES AND METHODS (UNIQUE METHODS)

A few years ago, I was searching for some productivity tips and I came across a post called Inbox Zero. The idea of naming the strategy of what you are talking about can generate a huge amount of backlinks.
This is how it works,
People start outlining and using the name of the strategy you designed. I

This is how website owners will share your link

5. BECOME A SOURCE FOR REPORTERS AND BLOGGERS

If you want to rant on the first page of Google today, you need to build links from authority news sites and blogs in your industry. This isn’t as hard as it probably sounds thanks to a free service called HARO

Steps to do this

– Register as a source in HARO

– You will receive emails daily emails from reporters looking for sources

Something like the following

When you a request that seems like a good fit then send them your pitch

To do list:

Find information about Authoritarian Websites

6. PRE-OUTREACH

How this works is that you will be promoting your post even before publishing it.

First, you must find blogs that write about the context you are interested in appearing and then you can send a message like the following:

Hi, I’m a long-time reader of your blog. Love the employee benefits roundups!

Do you have any upcoming roundups in the works? I have some great original content my team has been producing that would be a great fit for your site. Topics include employee wellness and millennials in the workplace.

Let me know if you are interested.

You will most likely get a response from people and then by the time you publish your post you can send them the following message:

Hi [Name]

We published the article yesterday. You can check it out here:

[Enter your article link]

Hope you enjoy it! If you deem it worthy, would you mind sharing it with Winston Benefits readers?

Thanks!!

6. .EDU RESOURCE PAGE LINK BUILDING

It is no secret that links from .edu websites are super powerful. the problem is how are you going to have them linking to your content .edu resource pages

For example, let’s say you have a website of nutrition benefits, 1st you want to find resource pages. To do that, enter the following string searches into google:

  • SITE:.EDU “YOUR KEYWORD”
  • SITE:.EDU “YOUR KEYWORD” + “RESOURCES”
  • SITE:.EDU “YOUR KEYWORD” + INURL:LINKS
  • SITE:.EDU “YOUR KEYWORD” + “OTHER SITES”

Then look to see if a piece of your content will be good for their page. After that you can email them this proven email script:

Hi [Name]

I was googling around for content about[topic] this morning, when I came across your excellent resource page: [URL]

I just wanted to say that your page helped me a ton. I would have never found the [resource they link to] without it.

It’s funny: I recently published a guide on [topic] last month. It’s [brief description]

Here it is in case you’d like to check it out: [URL]

Also, my guide might make a nice addition to your page.

Either way, thanks for putting together your list of resources and have a great day!!

Talk Soon,

[Your Name]

Only about 5% of the .EDU sites that you reach out to will add your link. The good news is that 1 or 2 of these links can give you a ton of traffic.

7. THE MOVING MAN METHOD

This is simple, find webs pages resources or businesses that are outdated, just rebranded, or recently changed the name. Find sites that still link to outdated resources. Email them a heads up (let them know their link is out of date)

HHREFs were run to the page to see what were the links that were not active. After that, we can email something like the following:

Hi [Name],

I was searching for some content to read about [Topic] this morning and I came across your excellent post: [Post Title]

Anyway, I couldn’t help but notice that you mentioned [Outdated Resource] in your article. As you may have heard, [problem with outdated resource]

Here’s a screenshot of where that link is located: [Screenshot]

Also, I recently published a piece of content about [Topic]. It might make a good replacement for the [Outdated Resource]

Either way, I hope this helps you and have a great day!

Thanks,

[Your Name]

And this is the response we got:

Thanks [Name]. That post is rather old and I haven’t updated it for a while. Obviously, Google Reader no longer exists either. Anyway, I have removed Blueglass and added your link under the SEO/SEM category.

Cheers,

8. GUESTOGRAPHICS

  1. Put together a post about anything, the post has to be exceptional, well written and comprehensive
  2. After that, he promoted his content with email outreach. He posted something like this:

Want to start off by saying, love your interactive gin maps, a great idea!

Just wanted to reach out and let you know about an article I just published: Australian Gin: The Ultimate Guide. It covers literally everything, from the history of Gin to how it’s made, the different styles of Gin, cocktails and the best Australian Gins and Gin bars.

At 6000 words (across 9 sections)) it’s comprehensive! It also includes some infographics that I designed including “The Periodic Table of Australian Botanicals”

Thought it might be of interest to your international readers as little insight into what’s going on in the Gin world down under!

Put a stack of work into it, so would love to know what you think!

Kind Regards,
